Love & Obey

The Edicts of Mizu-O
1. Thou Shalt not devour any flesh.
2. Thou shalt not lust after lesser sea life.
3. Thou shalt not lust after the land dwellers.
4. Thou shalt not worship any false gods.
5. Breed only within my children and no others.
6. Seek not vengence against nature itself.
7. Thou must return land dwellers to the land.
8. Thou shalt not question nor cross the will of my son, nor his lineage.
9. Thou shalt not attempt to foster life in any private rookery.
10. Heed the words of my proxy and act not against its advisory.

Daily Worship
Not unlike some land-dwelling religions, one prays to Mizu-O before a meal in thanks of the life that was given so you might eat. Prayer is done in the same manner one might expect, hands clasped and a spoken (or telepathic) prayer given.

Celebacy
Not a factor in any manner, in fact it is very common for the religious caste to be very open lovers since Mizu-O is not about signs of devotion to him and nothing else - it is about the family, the Nephites. More hatchlings means a longer lived culture, so why not take lovers and even lifemates?

Symbols
A symbol is not required to be a devoted worshipper. Unlike religions that are full of a single symbol that you cling to for faith, the Nephites have their Foci for such things! Foci vary to such an extreme amount that there is no one symbol of the faith, instead you are simply expected to treat your Foci itself with the respect and devotion you have to your God - which isn't hard since it is also the source of your magic!
