Every world has it's own lingo so here is ours.
Blanche'
The natural predators of the Nephites. Their flesh, when devoured, has a
chance of turning a mortal immortal or turning them into a mutated blood
thirsty monster.
Creators
They are the makers of homes, crafts, and clothing.
Deaths
Part of the Blanche's social system in Skelters. They are seemingly the
magick users of the Skelters and are deadly to face, they are the most powerful
of the Skelters and tend to lead them (as the Master of Slaughter isn't
a face seen yet just a title used).
Emperor(ess)
The leader of the Nephites. Blood linage to Mizu-O the god.
Foci
Items that are used as a mental focus for magick to be prayed for. This
is the most important part of the magick system of the game.
Graveyard AKA - Ship Graveyard
Where the Blanche' live, a ship graveyard made by the many attacks they
held against the humans that sunk the ships.
Hatchlings
Children, any mer-person under the age of 15.
Heir
The child of the Emperor(ess).
Heraldic Sea Horse
These are giant seahorse like creatures (as in mer-horse) that are sort
of 'mounts' for the Nephites.
High Priest(ess)
The leader of the religious body and the second most power rank of the Nephites.
Initiator
The rank/person in charge of the Rookery Guardians and the Creators.
Killers
Part of the Blanche' social system in Skelters. They are the second to lowest
rank seemingly, and are difficult to beat in a fight.
Kin/Kinfolk
The way Nephites reference to themselves as a whole. This would take the
place of: Clan, Tribe, etc.
Land Dwellers
Humans that have lost all connection to the ocean.
Maho
The dark god of blood and the eclipsed moon. He is the creator and god of
the Blanche'.
Malkuth
The earth goddess who originally owned and made the world. This is also
the name of the planet they are on, named in honor of the goddess who made
it.
Master of Slaughter
Part of the Blanche' social system. This one is known to be in charge of
all Skelters and is something like the Wrath of the Nephites.
Mercy
The rank of herbal healers and medics.
Mizu-O
The god of lightening and the moon. This is the god that the Nephites worship
and is their creator.
Murderers
Part of the Blanche' social system in Skelters. They seem to be the second
to the top of the Skelters and are horribly vicious and powerful.
Nephite
The name of the playable mer-people that worship and were created by Mizu-O.
Pains
Part of the Blanche' social system in Skelters. They seem to be the lowest
rank and the weakest.
Priest(ess)
The rank of consolers, ceremony masters and ritual masters. Their devotion
to the faith of Mizu-O gives them more of a strength with their foci.
Rookery
The place where the hatchlings are born and cared for until they come of
age.
Rookery Guardians
Those in charge of the children in the rookery. They are teachers, and defenders
for the children. They try to find them mentors to teach them a position
while they are still young.
Rookery Sibling(s)
Those born the in the same year.
Sailors
Humans who have a longing to reconnect with the ocean. They are often attacked
by Blanche'.
Scavengers
The position of gatherers of herbs and scavengers of sunken ships. They
are sneaks and spies but do not engage in a whole lot of combat.
Sealings
Creatures of the sea. Any creature that lives in the sea is referenced as
a sealing.
Shadow Sacrifice
A shadow sacrifice is when someone kills themselves in the place of another
ritualistically. The manner of death must be by their hand (as you can't
use a set up attack) and they must declare to Mizu-O who they are giving
their live to save. The gods can revoke the right for any reason and if
this occurs the Shadow Sacrifice (person trying to kill themselves) simply
cannot bring themselves to do the deed.
Ship Graveyard
A place where many ships sink. See: Graveyard if you are looking for the
Blanche's home.
Skelter
A group of Blanche'.
Slayers
The warriors of the Nephite.
The City
The upside down (if standing on the ocean floor) temple looking city that
the Nephites live in.
Wrath
The leader of the Slayers and Scavengers.
