Creation
Myth
Mizu-O and Maho are alien gods, orphaned gods that found their way to the
world Malkuth. Malkuth was named after the god that formed it. Malkuth was
a young world; it was still being created and lacked waters. Malkuth could
not find a way to sustain life on the world with out water. She was not
familiar with the universal element of water and thus could not create it.
She implored the two gods to help her and together they made the oceans.
Mizu-O’s kind nature and Maho’s fury combined and thus the seas
are both kind and cruel. The ocean’s temperament made the weather,
which made the trees and the animals. Life was established.
Pleased with their work they started to take dominations over parts. Malkuth took the land as her, as there was less land then sea and she owed a great debt to the orphaned gods. However Malkuth eventually became envious that the other two had so much more dominion then she did. She warned them that anything of theirs that started to live off the land would become hers, never to return to the ocean. Both orphan gods forbid their creations to live on the land. But like all things forbidden it did not stay that way. By nature the Blanche’ were made to be a predator to the Nephities and the Nephitie’s fought back which created balance. However not seeing the god’s mindset of balance and only seeing no escape form their predator, some Nephities left their god and crawled upon land, desperate to get away from the Blanche’. Malkuth took them and turned them into humans.
Maho was horribly angered by Malkuth’s sudden decision and mutation of his the Blanche' as well as the lingering threat to his own children. He warned Malkuth that as long as she stole their creations when they went on land, he would steal hers if they dared the water and their was no way for them to ever see the dry land again for his children would devour hers.
Mizu-O saw this as a form of cannibalism and banned the actions from his creations the Nephities. It was so gruesome to the god that he even installed an edict where the Nephities were to help the humans in times of need on the water.
Maho felt betrayed by his fellow orphan god and so left Mizu-O’s side, taking the Blanche’ with him. Having a very: ‘if you’re not with me you are against me’ attitude he told his children they could also feed from the Nephities.
However as the pressure from all sides continued, Mizu-O appraoched Malkuth for a truce. It was no alliance or forging of freindship, but she consented to allow his children to dwell on land for one month before she would claim them completely. This allowed the Nephite's to live on the land as well and escape the Blanche' for periods of time. Yet the agreement was not a complete cease fire and while they ran to the shores from one enemy, they found the humans were as hostile on the land.
Emperial Time
Emperor I: Archon
Time of Rulership: 1 - 1034
Mate: Marina
Children (in order of birth): Teshaylo (son), Jassoa (son)
and Ellika (daughter).
Was the child of Mizu-O and chosen by him to be the first Emperor. He was
a kind and just man, much like his celestial father. He took a mate at the
young age of 28, and sired children by 31. It was he who created the positions
and society of the Nephites. He ruled for 1034 years before dying as a Shadow
Sacrifice for his son who had been foreseen to die at the hands of Blanche
hunters.
Emperor II: Teshaylo
Years: 1034 - 1756
Mate: Lorika
Children (in order of birth): Eishiko (daughter), Rulen
(son)
Teshaylo was a pensive youth, assuming the title of Emperor when he was
already an adult with a mate and children, but he was withdrawn and not
always attentive to the needs of his people. After his fathers death he
and his brother Jassoa drifted apart. His brother blamed him for their fathers
death- and rightly so in a sense. Ten years into his reign his brother and
a group of Nephites left to make their own kingdom on land. Teshaylo could
do nothing to dissuade them and finally let them go their own path. He had
thought letting them go would solve the issue, but dissidents within the
ranks were not satisfied and one such person poisoned him- resulting in
Eishiko taking up the title of Emperor.
Emperess III: Eishiko
Time of Rulership: 1756 - 2565
Mate: Orune
Children (in order of birth): Maxelad (son).
Eishiko was a warrior nearly from her day of birth, and her father’s
way of death did not help her personality much. She immediately had the
one who poisoned him hunted down and made an example of to the people, and
then she set out a hunt for any others disloyal to the Emperor’s lineage
and did the same. She enforced the God’s Edicts with a near military
fist across the Nephite lands and refused to readmit any who returned from
the traitors kingdom to come home. She took no mate until a mere ten years
before her death, having her only child: Maxelad. However she was killed
while leading a contingent out at sea, a human cannon hitting her full on
and taking her life instantly. Her child ascended as Emperor at the age
of only 9.
Emperor IV: Maxelad
Time of Rulership: 2565 - 2575
Mate: Suhana
Children (in order of birth): N/A
Maxelad only ruled for a short ten years before dying of dropsy (a fish
based disease), having never been of the best health from the start. He
was a good ruler while he was there, but after his mate Suhana took over.
Emperess V: Suhana
Time of Rulership: 2575 - 4088
Mate: Allyc
Children (in order of birth): Taranis (son), Kakate (son)
Took up for her lover upon his death. Her rule was peaceful other then battles
against nature in the ocean. She took another mate, had children- and then
died an anti climatic death while helping the Mercy’s in a battle
she was eaten by a Killer Whale. Her child Taranis took over.
Emperor VI: Taranis
Time of Rulership: 4088 - 4813
Mate: Vashika
Children (in order of birth): Makali (son), Emery (daughter)
and Destati (son)
Much like his mother before him Taranis’ rule saw little more then
the average levels of conflict- though he himself was anything but a doting
ruler as he spent too much time in unhealthy endeavors such as women, food
and material things. He died of a aneurysm, leaving the title to his only
loving child: Destati.
