OOC Rules
1. No flaming. This is a rule I
am BEYOND strict on. If you flame some one and I find out, you will be banned.
The end. I will not tolerate it. If you flame some one on the RP list, you
will banned. This is common courtesy- if you an some one else are having
issues don’t put it in the RP.
2. No stealing. I understand that not all of us are artists, or writers, but I will not accept art or writing by anything that does not come with permission form the original artists and credit for them. It is not appropriate to do to the original creator otherwise.
3. You must post at least once every other day. People are waiting on your words, their characters are literally frozen in time without you- so if you take more than a week I will email you personally, if I receive no response after I will remove you. This is to prevent on lookers and to ensure that the RP moves smoothly and is enjoyable for everyone involved.
4. Notify me. This means when your going on a weeks vacation, or plan to be gone- or heck if you know your going to be really busy because of child birth, marriage or school, let me know. Then I won’t be so harsh on you about posting and may even place your character on the sidelines to help give you more time.
5. Original characters only please. I know that anime character are really cool. But no. I will not accept a character based off of media. I will not accept a character that is just like Jack Sparrow, or Legolas. Its good to borrow inspiration folks, but not bluntly copying it.
6. Time jumps, marrige, death and childbirth are MINE to call. I will not allow others to run this aspect for me. You may email me and ask for any of the above and I will full heartedly consider your advice, but the choice is mine and not yours when these things occur.
7. Revoked Posts: First you must ask permission to alter your post. Second: Unless a post violates a setting or rule of the RP it will not be revoked or redone, and it stays with it's assumed function.
8. No one shall play another persons characters without me receiving permission from the characters owner first. This is a stricter rule than you might think people. I want to see no one writing for another character that isn’t there’s, or ASSUMING for them. In other words do not write: “And Shika’s eyes lit up…” If Shika is not your character. Let the player of that character decide how they will react instead.
9. Everyone may have only 3 characters maximum. I know that some of you out there like more, and maybe your even capable of playing more. The issue is I've seen too many people spread themselves too thin- or ignore one character for another one they like better at the time. The only acception to this rule is moderators.
10. Adoptables are not a way to steal a quick template and get a few possible pics of your charrie at the get go. They are established characters who've likely been NPCed for quite some time and are to be played a specific way. If you cannot seem to play the adoptable as it was made to be played it will be repossessed by the HM and you will be advised to create your own character. You also may not redesign any aspect of an adoptable without moderator approval and a GOOD reason.
11. When you join you state on your CIS what you want done with your character in the event of your leaving. Now I want two things understood clearly on this: 1. If you say the character may become adoptable then that is what it will be, do NOT come to me later upset that it is there. 2. If you say it should die or leave and that character was in the middle of something in plot PLEASE walk it out or realize that I will NPC it to the fate you asked for.
12. CIS updates. These are important as they ensure two things for other players: One- when/if that character becomes an adoptable a new player can read the CIS and now up to date within the RP information on your character and who it knows. Two- that when some one else wants to read up on your character for reference they are getting accurate information on you, not looking at a two year old character that was never updated. Becuase of this I will warn and then remove players who do not update. First: All updates are to be sent to Demica with ONLY THE UPDATED SECTIONS sent in. Do not send in a whole CIS or it will be deleted and if your lucky a notice will be sent to you telling you to only send into the updated portions. Second: You will have a 3 days after the update notice goes through. If you do not update the CIS by then I will warn you. After this warning you have a week to get it to us or I will remove you.
13. New members must post within a week. As a new member you will have a week to post, if you do not by then I will send you a warning, after which you have three days to post. If you do not post by that time you will be removed for inactivity.
14. I reserve the right to change or add to these rules at any time - as there is always some one who will remind me of that one rule I forgot to add - or that one loop hole in such and such rule that they weaseled on threw and thought they were cute for.
15. To plug on this group you must ask premission!!! Email the mods for such things!
16. We are not responsible for your CISs. You are to keep a copy of your own character, _NOT_ us!!!
IC Rules
1. Please post at least 4 sentences each
post so that there is plenty for the other members to respond to. It
is easier than you think to draw out a post. Mention your characters feelings
on the events, their looks, what the weather feels like on their hair, skin,
eyes, ect… draw it out more. Your fellow posters will appreciate it.
2. Please don’t post to the
almighty. When I say this don’t make a post that reads: “Len
swipes threw the air with his sword a few times practicing, he does this
every day at high noon and with the sun at it’s highest he maintains
his schedule.” The end. You are mystically expecting someone to bug
you. Instead write it like this. “Len swipes threw the air with his
sword a few times practicing, he does this every day at high noon and with
the sun at it’s highest he maintains his schedule. He stops his blade
as he notices Rea approaching. "Strange to see you here." He says.”
That extra few sentences
have now targeted some one, making it easier to get a reply. Your posting
to a person, and they know it’s on THEM to post back, where as the
other post was to god almighty and no one may ever post to it because they
don’t think it’s there place to do so.
3. Tag. Please no tags at the end of every post. If your talking to some one they KNOW they’re being tagged already, no need to state it at the end of each post. The only time Tags should be used is when your post itself is very vague as to WHOM you’re talking to but you know what PLAYER you want to respond.
4. Grammar. K, we’ve all been at the 1 am coffee snorkeling hour where you misspelled at least three words and were accidentally writing for a character form another RP your in… but honestly people here’s my requests on this one. First, please observe the talking, sending and lock sending grammar. “Hi.” Is talking out loud. **Hi.** Is telepathy. "<Hi.>" Is another language.
5. This RPis R rated. This means yes there is violence, blood, and the like, however though I will not be offended by SOME sexual content please do NOT write out full sex stories on this RP list. If you wish to write it out please do so privately and then make it into a story to be uploaded with FULL arnings in the story folder. Please make sure to place a warning on it when you do so. This will make it so those of us who either don’t want to read it, or have parents looking over our shoulders wondering what THAT is doing in our in box won’t have to see it.
Combat Rules
1. Only post for what YOU are trying to do.
An appropriate attack post is ‘and Koven sliced for the enemy’,
not ‘Koven cut threw the enemy’ since one tells the result and
the other is only the action.
2. Be injured. If I OOC and say that you are ‘hurt’ then have your character act accordingly.
3. Free for all. There will be times where I say a battle is ‘free for all’ when this happens you can right for cutting down enemies and the like and I wont get mad at you.
4. Limb loss. There may be times where I will tell you a limb was wounded and is no longer usable - that means don’t use it.
