~Natural Magic~
All Nephite’s are innately gifted with telepathy so long as they have any belief at all with Mizu-O. This power is not like the Elf quest sending where lies are impossible - a Nephite can easily lie with their telepathy and emotions do not flow along the communication unless the one sending the telepathic message desires (and specifies in the post) to do so. Telepathy also extends to animals naturally so a different power to talk to sea life is not required. Yes this means that animals do have a form of telepathy. Because Telepathy is the sending of very fine electric impulses, in the water these flow much easier and thus Telepathy is much more receptive. THIS MEANS THAT OUTSIDE OF THE WATER TELEPATHY IS NOT POSSIBLE!

Telepathy is the only power that does not require foci.

Another automatic ability of all Nephite’s is Low Light Vision, as they light is filtered though waters, the have adapted to make the most of it. They also have innate sonar that allows them to sense their surroundings vaguely in the darkness.

Other magic’s are governed through foci, each power has a different foci and THAT foci is required to even use that magic at all. Each Nephite is given one foci upon their reaching adulthood- but obtaining more then that is unlikely and only under the word of the High Priest(ess). Using the power is not guaranteed either, you pray with the foci in hand (or on your person) and the gods decide biased on your faith and need whether or not they grant you the power and how much of it you receive if they do. Those of certain job classes will find it hard or impossible to obtain specific foci’s as well- either do to the belief that such a power is not necessary for that job, or due to the required faith that is not held by those of lower stations.

Foci can be made from various substances available to the Nephite’s (Coral, Rock, Precious Stones, Shell, Sea life and Bone).

~Foci-less Magic~ 2/2 CLOSED
Such magics are very rare to occur and often considered the result of some kind of 'brain damage' like trauma while in the egg or a curse from Maho (depending on the magic). Such magics are the same as Foci based magic, but do not require the foci and can instead be used 'at will'. The only power not listed in the chart above which can occur as a Foci-less Magic is:

Anti Magic 1/1 CLOSED
The extreme rare 'curse of Maho' that prevents a Nephite from being affected by any magic (good or bad) and prevents them from every using a foci based magic.

~Magic You Can't Have~
The following powers exist in the role-play, but are the abilities granted by Maho and therefore not avialable to Nephites unless they worship him.

Dark Creation
: The opposite of a Nephite's 'Light Creation', this power creates darkness from nothing and can be placed on a person or object for a limited amount of time.
Wounding: An uncommon ability amoung the Blanche' that allows them to inflict pain with a touch, rupturing blood vessel and causing tumors. The better their medical understanding the more damage they can do.
Physical Enhancement: The power to unnaturally increase one's strength, speed or stamina for a limited amount of time.
